Some information for those of you who are not familiar with the North American Limousin Foundation (NALF) abbreviations:
All animals listed as either Double Polled or Double Black, have not been tested… if they are listed as Het then they have been tested and are not homozygous for that trait. There is no difference between them unless one tests homozygous, but we do not want you to waist your time , effort and money, testing a bull for a homo trait that has already been tested and found heterozygous.
Homo means they are homozygous for that trait.Meaning a Homo Black will throw only black calves (with the exception of on Charolais cattle, you can get grey calves), Homo Polled means you will not get horns on your calves even if he is bred to a horned cow.
The difference between a LFM or LFF( Lim Flex Male or Female ) and a NXM or NXF( Nalf cross Male or Female) is that the Lim Flex is crossed with a listed Angus ( bull or dam ) the % can vary. A NXM or NXF animal can have influence from one or more different breeds ( for example Charolais, Brahman, Herford, or Angus) these influences are usually from a Foundation cow who is non-registered and thus has no Data to provide. This influence can be close or far back on the pedigree, and can eventually be bred out and you can have a NPM or NPF ( Nalf Purebred Male or Female).
A NFF or NFM is a Full Blood Limousin Male or Female that has NO other breed influence.
These bulls have all been raised on our ranch and are bunkbroke, gentle and willing to work. Their older brothers are performing well all over Missouri and many other states. We used brothers of these bulls on our commercial herds for many years and everyone loved the calves, and we loved the calving ease and good growth!
